Rara Lake is one of the most stunning places in Nepal. It is the biggest lake in the country, sitting at 2,990 meters high. Every year, many travelers come here to see its natural beauty. The lake is surrounded by green hills and Rara National Park, making it a perfect trekking destination. Snowy Himalayan peaks add even more beauty to the scene.
This trek takes you to the quiet and remote northwest part of Nepal. It starts from Kathmandu and goes to Jumla. Along the way, you will pass through small villages like Gorusingha, Sija, and Jaljala before reaching the peaceful Rara Lake.
Rara National Park is full of amazing wildlife. You can find animals like Himalayan black bears, musk deer, leopards, and even red pandas. The forests have blue pines, juniper trees, oaks, and rhododendrons. More than 200 kinds of birds and butterflies live here too.
